a way to calm the angry voice

"All I really want is some comfort, a way to get my hands untied. And all I really want is some justice" - Alanis Morissette

Anger is not our destination, it is our current location. It is not where we want to be, it is where we are right now. Even the strongest, most resilient of us can be broken if we are hit hard enough. Likewise, even the most vulnerable of us can obliterate mountains if we carry the right kind of rage. All we really want is to walk down the street without fear; to feel peaceful in this world; to feel safe. We are not asking for much - just some patience; some peace; some comfort; some justice.

A feminist, physical endurance performance exploring the cathartic expelling of rage surrounding our experiences with sexual assault.

Performed at the Pierce Institute (Glasgow, 2019)
